When widow Mae Papele asked a church friend if she knew a nice gentleman who might like to go out for dinners, she never expected that she was
taking the first step towards matrimony. Nervous for her first date in many years, Mae showed up to the Albuquerque Country Club 20 minutes early. Her nice gentleman, Anthony Messina, was already there waiting. After a year of avid courting, including a
romantic trip to Sicily, Anthony persuaded Mae to marry him. On January 12th, surrounded by their closest friends and family, Mae and Anthony became man and wife.
