For many couples, deciding upon a wedding location is a difficult choice. For Maggie and John, however, only one place stood out in their minds--Positano, Italy, where the couple vacationed earlier in their relationship. The couple's one concern was would it be possible to plan a wedding on Italy's famed Amalfi Coast from California.
Thanks to the internet, e-mail, and Melissa Roza, a wedding planner who specializes in European weddings, their dream became reality. The couple chose to hold the ceremony on the island of Capri, just a short boat ride from Positano. During the planning process they took just one trip to Italy to meet with vendors, who, unlike most of their counterparts in the United States, don't use formal contracts or deposits--they just give their word. And yes, they all showed up on the right day at the right time, and the wedding went off without a hitch.
A dream wedding in a dream setting, surrounded by the company of close family and friends--truly the sweet life, or as the Italians say, la dolce vita.
