Coleen Seal and Jeff Wright

When Coleen Seal and Jeffrey Wright finished off a romantic, November weekend getaway in Big Bear, CA, Coleen had no idea of what was coming next. As they were getting ready for takeoff, private pilot Jeff suddenly turned off the plane and nervously got down on one knee. Colleen, still strapped in her seat wondering what was going on with the plane, was in complete shock as her eyes fell upon the ring she had always dreamt of. After she said yes, she describes it as being "the worst plane ride of my life, because I couldn't call anyone and tell them!"
Coleen, once an employee of the stunning Yosemite National Park, chose to have an intimate wedding surrounded by the serene majesty she had fallen in love with. She also had always longed for a winter wedding, and winter was right around the corner! With the help of her mother, Jeff, and family and friends, Coleen planned her wedding in a mere three months. She advises brides planning destination weddings or with short planning windows to be very organized and know the rules and regulations of their sites. The preparation will allow for a "relaxing, beautiful" day, she says.
For their reception at the Ahwahnee Lodge, the couple hadn't planned on a few traditional activities such as the "first dance," however, when one of their servers offered her dynamic opera singing voice as a gift to the couple, they gladly accepted! The bride adds that her favorite part of the day was being able to spend quality time with all of the 40 guests in attendance. Posing for hundreds of pictures was definitely not the groom's favorite part. Marathon photo session aside, the romantic ceremony, snowy setting, and joyous celebration formed the couple's perfect winter wedding wonderland.
