Four years after Danielle and Philip hit it off at a party, Phil took the first step towards proposing by flying to New York to have Danielle's mom help him choose an engagement ring. He then popped the question to a surprised and happy Danielle on an unexpected trip to Puerto Vallarta. The couple decided to create a unique wedding that incorporated timeless traditions with flashes of their personalities.
Since Danielle had always loved going to Tiffany with her mom during the Christmas season in NYC, she had the legendary jeweler and stationer create invitations with the couple's monogram done in Tiffany's signature robins-egg blue.
Danielle also chose the classic wedding colors of pink, silver, and ivory, but used them in a creative way, such as having each bridesmaid carry a different bouquet that matched her personality. Danielle herself carried pearl-tipped stephanotis since the stephanotis is the traditional wedding flower, but chose florals for the wedding decor in several shades of pink and ivory to mix things up.
The ceremony and reception took place at the Hotel Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica, located right on the beach. Since Danielle is Catholic and Phil is Jewish, the couple decided to incorporate traditions of both religions into the ceremony by having a Catholic priest and Jewish rabbi co-officiate. Passages from scripture were read and the couple was blessed with the traditional Jewish Seven Blessings.
Overall, Danielle and Philip created a beautiful day with both elements of tradition and their own personal styles.
