Lauren and Robbie Gantt
September 23, 2006
Winchester, Virginia
Lauren and Robbie first met when they shared a class at photography school in Dayton, Ohio. Lauren was unaware that Robbie had even noticed her until he asked her to a Counting Crows concert out of the blue. Robbie picked her up at her apartment, and the date went so well, they became a couple -- and five years later, Robbie took Lauren back to Dayton and proposed right in front of that very same apartment building.
Their wedding took place in the beautiful gardens of the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, which created a peaceful and magical atmosphere for the ceremony. Lauren wanted the beauty of the gardens to be prominent, so she chose white hydrangeas with green accents to compliment the breathtaking natural decor. Special aspects of the ceremony included walking down the aisle with her parents and her brother, and the reading of Shel Silverstein excerpts by her aunt and Robbie's sister. Following the ceremony was a cocktail hour held in the Pink Pavilion, followed by a full reception in a large white tent lit with paper lanterns. The whole day was everything Lauren and Robbie had wanted it to be - a gorgeous location, perfect weather, and great friends and family having a wonderful time.
