Chris and Jennifer met at a church community group in Sunnyvale, CA, and a close friendship developed into a relationship. When Jennifer arrived at her family home in Dallas for the Christmas holidays of 2005, there was a surprise waiting in her room -- Chris on bended knee surrounded by photos chronicling their years together. Jennifer said yes through tears of joy, and the two went downstairs to celebrate with Jennifer's family members, all of whom were in on the surprise.
The Pasadera Country Club was the site of the wedding, during which Jennifer and Chris read letters of appreciation aloud to their parents. The reception that immediately followed included a cocktail hour and sit-down dinner. The theme colors of pink and green were evident in the decor, from the lush floral arrangements by Nicole Ha, to the napkin treatments and colored paper lanterns. To honor the ethnic backgrounds of both families, the bride wore a traditional red Chinese dress for a cocktail-hour tea ceremony, then slipped into a ceremonial Korean wedding dress in shades of red and green for the reception. It was a glorious day that celebrated love, faith, and the strong bonds of family...all of the elements that make for a beautiful wedding.
