Melissa Weinger and Kenneth Schnurstein

Missy and Kenny met on a blind date set up by a mutual friend -- and before long, found themselves smitten with each other. After dating for a year and a half, Kenny brought Missy to their favorite spot by the Mulholland Fountain at Griffith Park. However, just before Kenny could ask Missy "something very important", the moment was interrupted by a couple of men kicking a soccer ball nearby. . .so, Kenny persuaded Missy to cross the street, where he knelt beneath a beautiful tree and asked her to be his wife.
The sunset ceremony took place on a golf course surrounded by serene ponds and a majestic view of the mountains. Their ceremony combined both Jewish and Catholic elements and was officiated by their friend Tim -- the mutual friend who was responsible for introducing them. An island-themed cocktail hour and reception in the clubhouse followed the ceremony. The wedding theme that was threaded through everything from invitations and flowers to music, was inspired by a photo of mango-colored calla lilies that Missy found on WeddingChannel.com. Overall, the day was personal, meaningful, and more than the couple had hoped for.
