Christina Wilson & Tylor Laney
August 20, 2005
Seattle, WA
Eight years into a relationship that began with a chance meeting in Seattle and included several years of living long-distance, Tylor Laney whisked Tina Wilson away on a surprise trip to the beaches of Santa Barbara. After wine tasting at Santa Ynez Valley, a lovely picnic lunch awaited them -- but before Tina could take one bite, Tylor dropped to one knee and asked her to be his wife.
Their outdoor, evening ceremony took place at Parson's Garden, located on a hill with a beautiful view of the Puget Sound against the backdrop of Mount Rainier. A reception followed at the Shilshole Bay Beach Club, which had its own gorgeous panoramic view of the Olympic Mountains against the setting sun. Each reception table featured the name of a different winery that Tina and Tylor had visited while they were dating, as well as a floral centerpiece of hydrangeas, roses, calla lilies, and dahlias in shades of purple and pale green. Special aspects of the evening included touching speeches from the wedding party, and the incorporation of Latin music to pay homage to Columbian guests. From the gorgeous views, to the love and laughter of friends and family, the wedding day was every bit as memorable as it was perfect.
