Dorie Raynor and Mitch Sterner
October 20, 2007
Corolla, NC
After meeting only briefly through the help of mutual friends, Dorie and Mitch were instantly drawn to one another. After two years of happily dating, Mitch proposed at midnight on New Year's Eve under a sky of fireworks.
To compliment their easy-going personalities and love for the beach, Dorie and Mitch worked with Karen Kelly, owner of Coastal Events Coordinators , to plan a destination wedding in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. They used a color palette of orange, yellow, and pink to compliment their ocean-side sunset nuptials. The bride wore a simple Romona Keveza gown and held a mixed bouquet of roses, Gerber daisies, and stephanotis, while walking down an aisle lined with ribbon-adorned flower balls. They exchanged vows barefoot under a flowing sheer canopy.
When it came to for the reception, the couple and forty of their closest friends and family celebrated beneath a beautiful dropped-ceiling tent covered with paper lanterns. The candy buffet was the biggest hit of the evening.
