Wedding Party
Elizabeth Chao and Terence Fung
July 14, 2007
San Francisco, CA
Lovebirds Elizabeth and Terence chose a whimsical venue for the wedding and used that theme to inspire their unique wedding details. Since Flood Mansion is actually a private school in the daytime, Elizabeth and Terence thought they would play up the inherently quirky nature of their venue with the help of event planner Gloria Wong Tritasavit of
Sash & Sugar
. For their color theme they chose black and white to represent their characters -- strong and bold. To keep with their playful theme the couple chose a candy and pastry buffet for their reception and used a movie posterbook as their guest book. (Guests were asked to sign their "autograph" next to their favorite movie poster.) To sweeten the palette Elizabeth chose pink and sage green as accent colors. Elizabeth and Terence wanted their guests to bring home a unique favor. They boxed up the Chinese noodle dish Beef Chow-Fun in takeout boxes calling it Beef Chao-Fung. (Elizabeth's last name is Chao. Terence's last name is Fung.) Floral Designer Jill Baker of San Francisco created all the personal flowers, ceremony decor, and reception centerpieces.
