Tian Kitchen and Christiano Sampaio
April 21, 2007
Los Angeles, CA
Christiano and Tian's engagement story sounds as if it came right from a dream. When Christiano saw Tian walk into Koi Restaurant in LA, he just knew she was the one he was destined to spend the rest of his life with. In true fairytale fashion, they courted, then Christiano asked Tian's father for permission to marry his daughter. He got the green light and proposed. The proposal was perfect: Christiano, standing in a dark room, presented Tian with a lighted box containing a beautiful engagement ring. Tian accepted and the wedding planning began.
Tian had a precise and clear vision for the wedding style she wanted. She envisioned a modern Miami Beach feel with luscious reds and crystal accents. She used hardwood trees instead of flowers, sparkling sand on the tables, and silver chivari chairs to achieve the laid-back lounge look. The climax of the reception was a performance high above the room by Cirque de Soleil acrobats suspended by silk sashes. The Ebell of Los Angeles, an old theater from the late 1920's was the perfect bygone era setting to contrast with Tian and Christiano's modern Miami style wedding.
