Angel Sanchez was born high atop the Andes Mountains in a town called Valera, Venezuela. He was first exposed to fashion in his family's made-to-order dressmaking business. Following his education, he worked for a leading architectural firm in Caracas, the country's capital city. Soon he was drawn to combine his architectural skill and vision to create dresses of technical precision and impeccable quality. In 1987, Angel Sanchez Couture S.A. was opened and quickly developed a broad following. The house is currently operating with approximately 55 employees. He has been hailed in the press as a brilliant young star in the South American Galaxy.
