Wearkstatt was founded in 1992 by husband-and-wife team Jonas and Ursula Hegewisch. In less than a decade, the company has blossomed into a highly-regarded design house, showcased all over the country.
The Wearkstatt Collection is known for its sophisticated cut, understated yet subtle elegance and emphasis on flattering drape and innovative fit. The collection also has a flair for surprising decorative details, including fanciful hand embroidery.
In their newest collection, Ursula and Jonas introduce subtle contrasts of color coupled with abstract beading patterns. Their creations have been featured in InStyle, Town and Country, BRIDE's, Modern Bride, Elegant Bride, on film and television, and at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Three years ago, Ursula and Jonas opened the Wearkstatt Bridal Salon in the SoHo district of New York City.
