I recently heard about the May Company merger with Macy's. When will this happen?
See the chart below for the dates when each of the May Company stores (Filene's, Hecht's, Strawbridge's, Robinsons-May, Meier and Frank, Foley's, Famous Barr, L.S. Ayres, The Jones Stores, Kaufmann's and Marshall Field's) will transition its registries to Macy's Wedding & Gift Registry. |

Will this change affect access to my registry? Your registry will be available to you and your guests at all times. See the chart above for the date when your registry will convert to Macy's. Prior to the change to Macy's, your registry will be available at your current store, and online. After the change to Macy's, your registry will be available at any Macy's store nationwide (including the former May Company store), and online at MacysWeddingChannel.com. |

If I have not yet created a registry, should I wait? There is no need to wait. You can register with confidence at your local Macy's, or online at MacysWeddingChannel.com.
If your wedding date is prior to the registry transition date listed in the above chart, for the best merchandise selection, we recommend that you register at Macy's if there is a store in your area. If there is no Macy's nearby, you can register online at MacysWeddingChannel.com. If you would still prefer to register at your current store, on the transition date your registry will become a Macy's registry, allowing guests to make purchases at any Macy's nationwide (including the former May Company store), or online at MacysWeddingChannel.com.
If your wedding date falls after the registry transition date listed in the above chart, we recommend that you register at Macy's, or online at MacysWeddingChannel.com if there is no Macy's near you. You and your guests will have 24/7 access to your registry online, and at any Macy's store nationwide.

If I register with a May Company store, will I have to re-register with Macy's? No. Once the registry transition is complete, your registry will become a Macy's registry, and you and your guests will be able to find your registry at any Macy's nationwide, including the former May Company store, or online at MacysWeddingChannel.com. At no time will your registry be unavailable to you or your guests. |

I logged onto my registry and saw "Discontinued" next to a number of items I registered for. What happened? In keeping with our promise to inform you as soon as possible of any news during the transition to Macy's, an email or letter was sent to you the week of March 20th that outlined this next step in the transition process and how it might impact your registry. Although in most areas, Macy's and May Company stores carry many of the same products, there are instances where current merchandise assortments are being updated and some of the items available to you when you registered are beginning to be discontinued and will be replaced by similar merchandise already carried by Macy's and MacysWeddingChannel.com. To view the items affected on your registry, go on-line, and log in to manage your registry. You will see such products noted as "discontinued" in the availability column. |

What do you recommend I do to update my registry and replace discontinued items? While we know that this may have affected some registries more than others, we hope that you will continue to work with your bridal consultant to help you manage this process.
In addition, to better assist you we have developed a "Registry All Star" list. These top registry items are available in both Macy's and May Company stores and will be available for you and your guests to purchase throughout 2006. The list is available in store from your bridal consultant or online, when you are logged in to manage your registry through the "Select Items" process.

Can my guests still purchase these "discontinued" items? Although these items are no longer available online, a description of these items will remain on the registry and may still be
available for purchase, many until the end of May. Since the in store availability of these items is limited, and to ensure that guests shopping online will have an adequate number of gifts to choose from your registry, we recommend that you consider replacing these items with similar ones currently available. Fortunately, if you registered for a discontinued china, crystal and/or flatware pattern from our fine tabletop area, though no longer stocked in stores or available online, you and your guests can still special order most of these patterns in our stores. |

After the change to Macy's, will I still go to the same store to manage my registry? In most cases, yes. As a part of the change, some individual stores may no longer offer registry services. If this applies to your local store, a registry consultant from a nearby store will contact you, so that you are never without a local consultant. In addition, you will also receive written communication on store closings in the form of an email or regular mail. Remember, your registry will always be available to you online before and after the change to Macy's. |

If I am registered at a store that will no longer offer registry services, will my guests still have a place to shop for items on my registry? Yes, your guests will be able to view and purchase items from your registry at other locations of your former May Company store or online as they do today. After the change to Macy's, your guests will also be able to purchase items from your registry at any Macy's store nationwide (including the former May Company store) or online at MacysWeddingChannel.com. |

Does Macy's accept May Company store gift cards? Yes. All May Company store gift cards can be used at any Macy's store. In addition, your May Company credit card is now accepted at any Macy's store, or online at macys.com and MacysWeddingChannel.com. |

Can I begin participating in the Macy's Registry Star Rewards program? See the chart above for the date when your registry will convert to Macy's Wedding & Gift Registry. On the transition date, your registry will officially be a Macy's registry and you become eligible to enroll in our popular Registry Star Rewards program and can earn 5% rewards on your guest purchases and 10% rewards on your self-purchases account up to your wedding date when you use your Macy's charge.
Enrollment eligibility is based on meeting the following criteria:
A) Having an active Macy's registry with a future occasion date.
B) Having an eligible Macy's Credit Card account.
C) Personally requesting enrollment of that account on your Macy's registry with a bridal consultant in any Macy's registry location*.
Since your May Company registry and purchases made from it prior to your store's transition date are not eligible, if you wish to enroll before the transition date you must create a separate Macy's registry and enroll your Macy's charge card with a Macy's bridal consultant.

During the change to Macy's, should I expect any interruption of service? Not at all. Your registry will remain in-store and online leading up to the change to Macy's. On your registry's transition date, your registry will continue to be available to you and your guests, both in store and online at Macy's & MacysWeddingChannel.com. In most cases, the same dedicated staff that helped you create your registry will be available to help you with any questions or changes you may have. |

Will you keep me informed about any changes that affect my registry? Absolutely. You will receive regular updates by email, or by regular mail if we do not have your email address. In addition, you can always contact your local registry consultant, who will be happy to assist you. |
